As AI workloads scale exponentially, data centers face unprecedented sub-second power transients that conventional lithium-ion batteries cannot efficiently manage. These rapid spikes cause thermal stress, voltage sags, and costly oversizing of grid infrastructure. This presentation explores how Activated Dry Electrode® (ADE) technology enables ultra-low resistance ultracapacitors and hybrid energy storage systems (HESS). By pairing high-power ultracapacitors with energy-dense batteries, industrial systems can absorb millisecond-level power surges, extend overall battery lifespan, and drastically improve total cost of ownership.
